This story begins with Aldus Manutius, one of the most influential publishers in history. Inventor of italics and the comma, Aldus was responsible for publishing more first edition Greek texts than any other publisher before or since.

The dolphin and anchor emblem illustrates the classic adage: “festina lente,” which translates to ‘make haste slowly’. Driven by this philosophy, the Aldus Comma brand and publishing platform works slowly and carefully to curate and publish new ideas.
